January: Brand Update

After the roller-coaster that was 2020, the Rise team would like to wish all our friends, clients and freelancers a Happy New Year and all the best for 2021.

New Year, New Brand, New Rise

We’re kicking off 2021 with a bang to celebrate 10 years of Rise Media.

It’s crazy to think that Rise has been in business for a decade. To celebrate, we’ve treated ourselves to all new branding, an updated website, showreel and an updated logo.

We are particularly excited about our updated, refined Rise Media logo. Huge thanks to Fifty Fathoms who we commissioned for the amazing design work.

Check out our 2021 showreel below!

SWOTY

As one of the last big projects of 2020, the Rise Media team had the honour of producing the live video components of The Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Awards, in association with Vitality.

Over the last month, alongside News UK Events in Bridge Studios the Rise team have been working to create this live-streamed awards ceremony as a unique digital event.

On a technical level, we strived to provide a streamlined experience to the hosts, talent and winners with the use of custom made ‘live-stream packs’ and our updated remote vision mixing and web-broadcast production formula. Our ‘live-stream packs’ were sent to participants to boost production values both visually and audibly during remote recording and video-call sessions.

It was a real pleasure to be involved in such a special event and to enjoy witnessing so many inspirational women receive awards first-hand.

Ezra X WHUW Commercial

On the field or in the boardroom, every team needs a leader, and every leader needs a coach.

Ezra, one of our longstanding clients, has a mission to bring the super power of coaching to every professional in every workplace.

We had lots of fun producing this piece to promote Ezra’s partnership with the inspiring West Ham United Women FC.

The Rise team produced this ad from creative concept, to production and final delivery. It was a real pleasure to be welcomed onto the pitch by Gilly Flaherty and all of West Ham United Women FC. Content was shot on the Alexa Mini and Anamorphics, DP’d byt the amazing Dominic Lake.

Always a pleasure working with the Ezra Coaching team. Big thanks to Jack Sullivan, Duncan McKenna, Emily Crosland for all their help along the way.

Bazaar at Work Week

Working alongside Harper’s Bazaar and Hearst Live, the Rise Media team are proud to have produced live-stream video content for the inaugural Bazaar At Work Week in partnership with UBS and Porsche Cars GB Ltd.

It’s a four-day series of digital talks, panel discussions and interactive Q&A sessions featuring high-profile women from sectors including business, technology and the arts.

Having filmed this as a live event in previous years, we adapted our traditional panel session formula to fit the new live-stream format. Each day of the event included both live interviews and patching in remote speakers.

Here are some BTS shots from the first session of the event. Multi-award-winning actress Gillian Anderson in conversation with Lydia Slater, editor-in-chief at Harper’s Bazaar, about female empowerment, her career on stage and screen, and playing Margaret Thatcher in the new series of The Crown. Plus, Julia Gillard, the former Prime Minister of Australia, shares insight into the past, present and future face of female leadership.
